Aug. 5 - Sunday Farmers Market

Support EDC vendors and farmers.  This market features only local vendors.  Shop for meat, fish, fermented foods, baked goods, honey, soap, etc.  Running every Sunday through Sept. 30.  9-1   Located in the Post Office parking lot on Sacramento Street.

Aug. 14 - Senior Hike:  Lake Margaret

Departure from the Senior Center at 7:45 am.  Wear comfortable shoes and bring drinking water.   contact; inn 530-622-6451

 

Aug. 25 -  Bird Walk with ARC

After an introductory presentation on bird watching, take a bird walk through Marshall Discovery Park.  Look for resident species as wells summer migrants.  This is an easy hike for everyone.   9-11  For meeting location and to sign up contact: julie@arconservancy.org

July 14 - Cosumnes Headwater Meadow Walk With ARC

Meander through a beautiful headwaters meadow and enjoy your lunch by a waterfall.  This is a 4 mile hike with some steep elevation.

July 14 - Sustainable Organic Gardening Workshop

Master Gardeners, Master Food Preservers, and the local band of Miwok Indians are partnering to offer 7 breakout sessions, as well as handouts, samples, and a bag lunch.   Fee $25.

July 19 - Lower South Fork of the American River Clean Up

Join with ARC and EDC Parks for the river clean up.  Volunteers need some rafting experience and be 12+ years or older.

July 21 - Hike With the EDC Chapter of the California Native Plant Society

Hike from Wright’s Lake Road to either Bloodsucker Lake Trail or Lyons Creek Trail.  This guided tour to rated easy to moderate difficulty.
